Texas Capital Area Tandem Society
The TxCATS is the Tandem Bicycle Club in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area. The TxCATS originated as the Austin Tandem Club (ATC) in November 1995. In September, 1998 the name was changed to the Texas Capital Area Tandem Society. The club currently has a membership list that includes 60+ tandem teams. The TxCATS' mission is to provide a forum for tandem enthusiasts to ride together. Presently the club has no dues, offers team-hosted rides throughout the year and a winter planning meeting in January.
